They wished if they had fever that day........!!!!!
I recall one of my school days when I was in 7th standard. Our History teacher who used to keep a very thick stick to beat students had given us an assignment to learn a long chapter of History. As the chapter was very lengthy and difficult to learn, no one except a student was able to tell her correct answers. She got very angry and made the whole class stand in a row.I was in the middle. She started beating the children one by one.As the children cried ,my heart started beating fast. Her stick left red marks on the palms of my classmates.I was also trying to prepare myself for the punishment. My heart was beseeching God's help.Gradually there came my turn.As the teacher was about to beat on my palm I moved my hand back.It made her more angry as nobody was allowed to move. She forcefully stretched my hand,I closed my eyes and submitted......................But my teacher did not beat me.She left hold of my hand as if there was current in it.She touched my forehead and said, "Sit down child you have fever."I was surprised to hear that as I did not know that I was suffering from fever. That fever gave me a sigh of relief. She continued her task until the last child was punished.I kept staring at the weeping class fellows.
Punishment of hair-cutting...........
KUALA LUMPUR: A Muslim TV anchor's decision to support cancer awareness by chopping off her hair has cost the woman her job at a Malaysian channel, which wants her to grow back her mane to an "acceptable" length before being allowed to resume her work.
Popular Malaysian NTV7 news anchor and television personality Ras Adiba Mohd Radzi has also claimed to have received anonymous calls abusing her for defying a 'fatwa' prohibiting women from shaving their head, local media reported.
Ras Adiba, who works on a freelance basis for NTV7, cropped her hair on Friday last to show solidarity with The National Cancer Council cancer awareness campaign.
However, NTV7 found her new look too much to handle, ruling that she could no longer appear on air until her hair grows back to an acceptable length, Star newspaper said.
An NTV7 source said Ras Adiba had approached them before getting shorn, and the management had told her that if her hair was cropped, she would not be allowed to announce the news, the paper said.
She was told that once her hair had grown, she could resume her part-time position as newscaster.
"We can't put a bald person on air, especially for news and the anchor is a woman. We have to upkeep a certain look and feel.

Bounties of the Almighty
"Though we are called the civilized ones, still we are so impatient and insecure that we don't even hesitate in grabbing, snatching or befooling others for our personal gains. But have we ever thought about the so called uncivilized animal world who has so much faith in God's bounties that they don't even care for their food or shelter as they have faith in their hearts that the One who has created them, will provide them all that is needed?"Perhaps the uncivilized creatures have more faith in their creator"The Almighty" than the civilized ones.

India's tallest family hopes to set world record
The Kulkarnis, who stand out wherever they go as they are India’s tallest family, are now hoping to set a new world record with their combined height.
India's tallest family

Sharad Kulkarni, 52, stands at 7ft 1.5ins tall and his wife Sanjot, 46, is 6ft 2.6ins tall. Their daughters Mruga, 22, and Sanya, 16, are 6ft 1ins and 6ft 4ins respectively.
The family’s combined height is a staggering 26ft.
Mr and Mrs Kulkarni were crowned India’s tallest couple by their country’s Limca Book of Records after they married in 1989.
They had hoped to be named the world’s tallest couple by the Guinness Book of Records, until it emerged that Wayne and Laurie Hallquist, from Stockton, California, stand a combined inch taller at 13ft 4ins.
“We were a little disheartened. It’s nice to have recognition when you live your life being so different. It ends up meaning something. But we’re excited about new prospects,” the Daily Mail quoted Sharad as saying.
Growing up, Mr and Mrs Kulkarni faced years of teasing and ridicule.
When Mr Kulkarni hit 7ft as a teenager he ploughed his energies into sports and ended up playing basketball for his country, but Mrs Kulkarni struggled to go unrecognised and fit in the remote Indian village where she lived.
The pair began to accept early on in their teens that marriage one day might be difficult.
“It’s hard for a woman to be taller than a man in India. The man is the more authoritative role so I would never want to marry a smaller man and then him be ridiculed about his wife,” Sanjot said.
“It was a big possibility that I’d never marry really,” she said.
But Mrs Kulkarni’s grandmother spotted Mr Kulkarni walking down a street in Mumbai one evening and approached him.
A few weeks later Mr Kulkarni’s parents called the number and a meeting was arranged for the potential couple, as is traditional in India.
The couple married in December 1988. A year later Limca Book of Records pronounced them India’s tallest married couple.
Now, along with their two grown-up daughters Mruga and Sanya, they hope to have the chance to be the world’s tallest family.

Whats in a minute or two..........?????(a story)
At 6 in the morning the shouting of my alarm clock made me get up.I hurried up to get ready for the office. As already late I was just hastely arranging things to be carried along when I heard a voice of my dad.He was asking me if I had had my breakfast.I said no it was already late.He asked me"whats in a minute or two??"I said even a single minute did matter"He persisted me to eat something to the extent that I got irritated.Even he followed me with the stuff in his hand.I didn't listen, took my belongings and started on my bike ,leaving my calling dad behind.Reaching there I found some eatables in my bag. This was what I used to do daily. The only change was that of my school to office days.I really had no idea that the things would change without an alarm.
Today my dad is lying on his bed unable to move his body.High blood pressure followed by a stroke resulting in paralysis.I go to office as usual.I am late as usual but what is unusual is that my dad does not irritate me by offering help or asking me to eat something.Leaving for office only some words echo in my mind"whats in a minute or two??" .I crave for the same affection from him.He does not speak but his eyes say"Those minutes were too precious my child"

organs craving for food items.....
Foods your organs crave for (Thinkstock photos/Getty Images)
Macrobiotic expert Shonali Sabherwal says
organs seek attention by craving for specific things
Each organ is a complex energetic system encompassing not only its anatomical entity, but correlated to an emotion, tissue, sense organ, mental faculty, colour, climate, taste, smell and more. These are called 'internal organ correspondences'.
If you are craving a particular food item, it tells you which organ you are dominated by and how to keep it satiated. Of course, this is in addition to a balanced diet rich in whole grains, legumes and vegetables.
Lungs craving: Pungent
Characteristics: Governed by grief and depression, lung people have a tendency to slouch (or have a hunchback, indicative of limited supply of oxygen to this area), or have inflamed cheeks. An abuse of sugar, diary products, fruits and fruit juices could hurt your lungs.
Healthy switch: Pungent foods help discharge mucous-like build-up in the lungs, so eat raddish, cabbage, arugula, asparagus, mustard (sarson) greens, turnips, carrots, red peppers, broccoli, wheat grass and spirulina to detoxify the lungs. Fiber-rich foods such as whole-grain and especially lotus root (kamal kakdi) help a lot.
Drink fresh lotus root tea for relief
Kidneys taste: salt
Characteristics: You push yourself to excel at work, maintain a certain lifestyle or diet. You are constantly plugged into fear, which burns out their adrenals (adrenals sit on top of the kidneys). Dark circles, eye bags, hair loss, premature graying and dull and lifeless hair are tell-tale signs that your kidneys want to have a chat with you.
Healthy switch: Replace table salt with rock or sea salt. Shun chips and transfatty farsaan and embrace black beans such as soybeans and kidney beans. Magnesium-rich foods calm the nerves, so include spirulina, wheat grass, millet, corn, barley, brown rice, sesame seeds, spinach, methi, chowli, broccoli, avocado, cooked lentils, peanut butter, bananas, prunes, dried apricots, melon, and fish.
Spleen, pancreas taste: sugar
Characteristics: Anxiety and worry have you under their thumb. Such people suffer from digestive issues which manifest in the lips — they tend to be swollen, dry, cracked or unusually red or pale.
Healthy switch: If your abuse of sugar continues, you'll land up with hypoglycaemia or diabtetes. So switch to good sugars that come from fruit and vegetables. Shop for this: Sweet potatoes, cabbage, carrots, squash, onions, brown rice, cinnamon, saunf and nutmeg. To satiate sweet cravings, drink the sweet vegetable juice given below whenever you can (late afternoons is ideal), everyday, every day for a month. Liver tastes: sour, bitter
Characteristics: If your liver is not functioning at its optimum level, you feel angry and frustrated. You've probably been abusing oily and greasy foods, saturated fats from animal foods, dairy and eggs. If your liver is under duress, your eyes and nails could turn yellow. Sometimes, the eyes turn a dull gray and the complexion, sallow. Examine the area around the eyebrows, which is the liver area according to TCM. Does it have red spots? Then your liver is seriously pissed off.
Healthy switch: Munch on green apples. Also, add these to your noms: turmeric, basil, cardamom, cumin, ginger, mint leaves, strawberries, cabbage, cauliflower, turnips, broccoli, sprouted grains, bitter gourds, arugula leaves, fenugreek, rajgeera atta, quinoa, radish and radish leaves and spirulina.
Heart tastes: bitter, pungent
Characteristics: People with a weakness in the heart could have a red or swollen nose. Sometimes, the nose tip may be swollen or even green. Their emotional state is not joyful; and the complexion could be sallow. Those who over-dose on refined foods, sugar, refined flours, simple carbohydrates, meat, alcohol, drugs, rich and greasy foods, hurt their heart. Late night eating and large dinners also impact this pumping machine.
Healthy switch: All wholegrains, especially rajgeera; buckwheat, raddish, onions, mustard, garlic and magnesium rich foods. Eat herbs such as dill, basil, chamomile, pudina and use ghee in your cooking.
Brain likes crunch
Ever noticed how you reach for chips when you're working? That's because the brain likes the crunch as the sound wakes it up. Whenever it is active, it starts craving that sound. Keep a bowl of roasted nuts, carrot sticks or walnuts on your desk to munch the healthy way.

If u were not there, how could I have an idea of God's love!
"I brought pain for you with my arrival in this world but seeing my face you rejoiced so much that your physical pain was taken over by the love and concern for me.You sacrificed your sleep, recess and of course the rest of concerns for me.My smiles were a world for you and my cries made your heart panting.Since my birth you forgot the concerns for your own 'self 'n started finding your life in me ,my happiness and well being. You made me understand the meaning of love..................Hats off to you "MOM"Wednesday, June 20, 2012

something to think
Have we ever thought what we really want, why we are chasing so many desires, so many wishes and never get satisfied once we get something, why we are changing the choices, hobbies, trends, brands, addictions, we always want something, we always seek something , we want to have better job, bigger car, sleeker mobile more advance tab, new house, new clothes, new shoes, new girl friend, life never seems to be stopping anywhere, what we get do not give pleasure to us for more time, "now its old, we want something new, something which others do not have" and once we get that it also becomes old and no longer desired, we want something else we have a never ending wishlist, but have we ever thought what exactly we are looking for .. Is it really an IPhone we wanted or an IPad, was it the that new gadget we were dying for, if yes then why we are not stopping after getting what we were yearing for. why it is that now we want something else, a new day with a new desire, a new month with a new wish, a new year with a new longing.. This doesnt end with the materialistic things. it expands our emotional need.. we always desire for true love and do not seem to get it... we need to stop and think about this.....
